As an infant, Shepherd fell off his mother's horse in a Colorado forest and was raised by nymphs. He fashioned his first bass guitar from a pine tree branch and the guts of a small bear. He became fascinated with barbeque and embarked on a career as a famous Mexican chef. At his famous restaurant in Brush Colorado, he had a run in with the other Pigmys who made rude comments about his famous sauce or something of the sort. When he realized they were only drunk he got drunk with them and they all formed a band. They got drunk a lot. He still keeps in contact with many of the nymphs as is his wont.
